Bigmarket releases mobile app to challenge Trade Me

Bigmarket releases mobile app to challenge Trade Me Auckland, March 30, 2018 -- Bigmarket, a free marketplace for Kiwi buyers and sellers, today announced the launch of its new app for iOS and Android mobile devices. This addition to Bigmarket’ technology suite shows that the company is following their promise to modernize the New Zealand e-commerce industry. It’s a concept that is new to New Zealand, but that has proven successful in overseas markets for tech giants such as Letgo and Carousell. “Bigmarket is changing the way Kiwis buy and sell while innovating in ways that the ecommerce industry has never seen before,” said Anna, Bigmarket founder and CEO. “Thousands of Kiwis have already signed up

Bigmarket' main selling point is no fees for the average user and cheap rates for online stores. "We're currently getting about 15 to 20 users a day on the site, a product every 15 seconds, and we've got just over $1 million worth of stock already on the site," says Mr Fawcett. Mr Fawcett says others have tried and failed to beat Trade Me at its game, but after studying the failures he's confident Bigmarket is different. "The average Joe shouldn't have to pay really anything to list their products, list their auctions. If you want to sell something that's lying around your house you shouldn't have to pay an
